MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) -- A local car dealership is the target of more than just a burglary.

Alabama Auto Sales on Moffett road -- selling cars is their business. But their inventory took a hit early Friday morning.

Owner J.R. Reid says his surveillance cameras caught the dramatic getaway after two men stole a 2006 Chevy Silverado off the lot.

"It was relatively dark out here. They took the truck and they drove this way and they drove around and you can see them clearly driving around and they drove around here and came up this way - and sped up and ran through the gate," said Reid.

His employee snapped a couple of pictures just 15 minutes later at 6:30 a.m.

"They had to tear the truck up somewhat in order to ram in through the gate," said Reid.

A closer look at the surveillance video and the two men were there for more than two hours going through vehicles between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. -- stealing more than 10 radios. They also took a vacuum cleaner and some cleaning supplies.

"I mean you work so hard all your life and try to obtain things -- and then some thief comes along and takes it from you," said Reid.

The Mobile County Sheriff's Office now has the videos. Reid hopes it's enough to lead to an arrest.

"You'll get away with it once or twice -- but eventually you'll get caught and if you do. Then I'll prosecute to the fullest extent of the law," said Reid.

If you recognize them -- call the Mobile County Sheriff's Office 251-574-2423.

The stolen vehicle was recovered abandoned Monday evening. Meanwhile, if you have video of someone "Caught In The Act" -- email it to us at fox10reportit@fox10tv.com -- and we may show it in our newscast.
