Owner and Head Chef of Panini Pete's, Ed's Seafood Shed, and Sunset Point at Fly Creek, Pete Blohme can breathe a sigh of relief after some burglars broke into his business office on St. Ann street in Mobile.
Thankfully they got away with nothing. It was all caught on camera.
"We got a really good camera system and several different angles from them approaching the building coming in, two different angles from here also," Blohme said.
It happened early Friday morning around 3 am. The video shows the two men walking up to the business with what appears to be a centerblock or brick and a blanket.
One of the men throws the brick into the glass door multiple times in an attempt to break it. He then started kicking it with his foot until he made a big enough hole for his accomplice to get through.
Another man with him, then climbs through the hole and walks into the office. He plundered through some items on the desks just before a motion censor triggered an alarm. Once he heard the alarm, he quickly ran out.
While he climbed through the hole in the door to meet his accomplice outside, it appears he may have been injured on his leg. He stopped for a few seconds to check it then he and his accomplice ran off.
Blohme said it didn't appear that the subjects got away with anything. They only had a broken glass window which is already repaired.
"We're happy to be a part of this community and hopefully we can help rid the community of some scandalous folks," said Blohme.
