A single vehicle crash Tuesday night claimed the lives two members of a family, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash at about 7:10 p.m. resulted in the deaths of Conan L. Ivey, 42, and Nathan R. Ivey, 17, of Repton, said Sgt. Derek Gessner of ALEA, in an email to news media.

They were killed when the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe they were riding in left the roadway and struck a tree, Gessner said.

Conan Ivey was pronounced dead on the scene scene. Nathan Ivey was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, where he died from his injuries.

The driver, Elizabeth Ivey, 42, of Repton, was injured and also transported to Sacred Heart.

Gessner said the crash occurred on Interstate 65 at the 60.2 mile marker, three miles north of Atmore.

Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
