Fire officials are battling a blaze on Rock Road in Coden.
We're told approximately 100 acres of forest area is on fire. Officials say this is mostly a marsh area and there's not a lot they can do since it's so wet. They say everything is in a holding pattern and they're focused on making sure it doesn't move closer to a structure or home.
According to authorities, the public shouldn’t have to worry about anything going into the night. No structure is threatened at this time.
Fire units responding to the fire are: Grand Bay, Theodore Dawes and Fowl River.
