Mobile Police say a small time thief, very well known to them, has suddenly upped his game and is now considered armed and dangerous.

MPD turned to “FOX10 News Fugitive Files” to help capture him.

This past August, police say 45-year-old Charles David Pickens stole merchandise and food from the Walmart on Theodore-Dawes Road. A store worker confronted him in the parking lot, but he threatened her with a knife, then drove off.

Investigators say just by producing the knife, Pickens took the crime from a simple theft to a robbery, which carries a harsher penalty. They want him off the streets.

Take a good look at Pickens. He's five feet, eleven inches tall, and weighs 160 pounds. As far as distinguishing characteristics, police say he has acne scarring on his face.

Pickens arrest history includes 17 felony arrests, as well as property theft, drug offenses, and reckless endangerment.

If you know Pickens, or have seen him, call the " FOX10 News Fugitive Files /Crimestoppers" number at 251-208-7211. Remember: you don't have to leave your name.
