MOUNT VERNON, Ala. (WALA) - Mt.Vernon Police and the Mobile County Sheriff's Office are investigating a homicide.

Investigators said a man was found dead in his home off Highway 43 in the Movico Community around 3 p.m. Tuesday. According to Mount Vernon Police Chief Byron Reynolds, 43-year-old Latywen "Slick" Caster was found dead by his mother.

According to officials, Caster was shot in the head.

Shortly after the crime, Chief Reynolds said they had three people in custody and will be questioned by detectives. He described the men in custody are between the ages of 20 and 40.
