BAY MINETTE, Ala. -- There's no word yet on what caused a deadly house fire in Bay Minette, and we still officially don't know the name of the teenage victim.

The fire happened Friday morning on West 6th street.

Once firefighters knocked down the blaze, they found the body of the 15-year-old inside.

Police say they are waiting on forensics testing before releasing the name of the victim.

Others, including school friends and her principal at Baldwin County High School, have no doubt who it is and are saddened by the loss.

Craig Smith, principal at Baldwin County High School, told FOX10 News that, "I really enjoyed the time with her. She's going to be missed. We've had an outpouring from the community that wanted to help."

He went on to say, "At a time like this, the suddenness of it and over the holidays, it's kind of hit us hard. But as far as her, she is going to be missed."

Fire investigators were back on the scene Tuesday looking at evidence. Investigators say the girl and her mother lived in the home.
