LILLIAN, Ala. -- Firefighters battled a major fire at a popular restaurant in Lillian in Baldwin County early Friday morning.

This was at The Pirate’s Cantina Mexican Grill, a restaurant at 33802 U.S. 98 near the Alabama-Florida line.

Multiple agencies responded to the fire.

The Elberta Fire Department reports the cause of the fire is under investigation. The fire department in Lillian says there were no injuries reported.

The following was posted to social media by Lillian Fire Rescue:

Early this morning Lillian Fire was called to a structure fire at Pirates Cantina. Thank you to all our mutual aid as well as the newly established Baldwin County Tanker Taskforce. This resource is available to fire departments who need a large supply of water and comprises resources from all departments in Baldwin County.

On the restaurant's Facebook page, the following was posted Friday morning after firefighters were still putting out hotspots at the burned-out shell of the establishment:

With tears ... Sadly we want thank everyone for all the messages and condolences. Also we want to ask all our community please for you support now more than ever in this difficult moment.
We are going trough a really hard moment. Our restaurant Pirates Cantina burn down last night. We lost everything in there. The fire is been investigated. We are really heartbroken. We have been just opened for two and half months. It was a unique restaurant and one of a kind. We need your support! Please Please Come and support us to our Sister Restaurant Margarita LoCa Bar & Grill in Gulf Shores. Inside Pelican Place shopping Center. We need your help badly to go trough this hard moment. We appreciate you all!!
