MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) -- A local six-year-old fighting a chronic illness was surprised Thursday when he learned he's going to Disney World!

Students at St. Paul's organized a partnership between Spring Hill College, UMS-Wright, and McGill-Toolen to create the Magic Moment.

Instead of competing with one another, they joined forces to give Christian a trip of a lifetime.

"Through the process, we've had all kinds of support. This is one of the many things we never imagined would happen. It's very huge for us to be able to receive this gift and support from caring people. It means a lot because just when you think you don't have the answers, God prevails. It's very huge," said the boy's father.

Magic Moments is a wish-granting organization dedicated to sending Alabama children living with chronic, life-threatening disages to Disney World.
