A Grand Jury will now hear more about a local teen who was shot, while police say he was committing an armed robbery.Adric White, 18, arrived in Judge George Hardesty’s courtroom Thursday, January 16, still wearing an arm brace for his preliminary hearing. He is charged with 5 counts of first degree robbery, stemming from three separate crimes.Judge Hardesty denied bond and sent all cases to a Grand Jury.Police testified that White was already out on bond for allegedly robbing The Original Oyster House in October when he committed the other robberies and ultimately ended up in the hospital.During his last alleged heist at the Family Dollar on Stanton Road, a Good Samaritan stepped in and shot White five times as the teen held employees at gunpoint.Officers testified the teen was shot twice in the arm, twice in the hip area, and once in the back. The story gained national attention after White’s family went on record stating that the customer should have never gotten involved and let the teen go on his way.
