SEMMES, Ala. (WALA) -- A big gesture from students at Mary G. Montgomery High School.

During a special ceremony Wednesday, they presented Krissy Tuder, the wife of fallen Mobile Police Officer Sean Tuder, a $2,000 check.

The students raised the money themselves by paying to dress out of uniform. Students came up with the fundraiser idea on their own.

Some of the students said they remembered Officer Tuder being at their football and basketball games. The whole school was decked out in banners, signs, and balloons to honor Tuder and show support to his family.
