Mixed feelings about this weekend's rainy parade forecast

No weather problems for the Crewe of Columbus tonight. Tomorrow and Sunday, probably a problem.

Revelers out at tonight’s parade were thankful for the perfect weather. With a wet forecast ahead for the weekend, Mobilians have mixed feelings. Some say if it rains on their parade, they’ll still be down here. Others say, not a chance.

Tonight the Crewe of Columbus let the good times roll down the streets of Downtown Mobile. Folks enjoyed the dry weather while they can.

Tens of thousands of people were out behind the barricades along the parade route. Folks were able to forget about the rainy weather coming as they enjoyed catching the moon pies, beads, stuffed animals, and toys and seeing the bands and the floats.

When asked about tomorrow there were mixed feelings. Some say come rain or shine, they’ll be at the Mardi Gras.

“We all gonna be here. Party! It’s Mardi Gras. Party in Mobile,” said one reveler.

“”Rain or shine. I’m going to be out here,” said another resident.

While others didn’t share those sentiments. They simply felt that it wasn’t worth it.

“I’ll let them have that. I’m just going to get wet on Monday,” said a resident.

“I ain’t coming. This is my last night. This is my Fat Tuesday!” said another reveler.

Tonight’s crowd didn’t disappointment and the numbers agree. Mobile Police say there were 109,824 people out at tonight’s parade.

As for now, all of this weekend’s parades are still on.
