A teenager who shot and killed another teen in downtown Mobile on Fat Tuesday in 2016 learned his sentence Thursday, September 6.
Algernon Grayson, 19, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the shooting that killed 15-year-old Amir Parker on February 9, 2016. Grayson was 16 at the time of the shooting.
Investigators said there was an altercation the parking lot of the Popeye's on Government street before the shots were fired.
A judge sentenced Grayson to 15 years in prison. He has been in jail since he was arrested on February 18, 2016.
