MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile Police have released the name of the man shot and killed at a shopping center in Crichton on Saturday, February 9.

Investigators said Christopher Edwards, 20, was shot around 8:45 a.m. at a business on Springhill Avenue

Police said four people involved in the shooting were spotted by police as they fled the scene in a vehicle. That vehicle led police on a pursuit to the area near the Mobile Downtown Airport.

Chris Curry, president of the Mobile Airport Authority, said the shooting suspects led police down Michigan Avenue. He said four suspects exited a vehicle and jumped a fence into Brookley Field before they were apprehended by police.

The four people taken into custody have been identified as Oscar Phillips, 24, Jeremy Nelson, 20, Joseph Nelson, 22, and Keondrea Adams, 19. Police said the shooter involved in the homicide has not been arrested.

On Saturday, police had thought that two people were shot at the shopping center. Monday, officer clarified that Edwards was the only shooting victim. The other person wounded was actually wounded by flying glass broken by the gunfire.
