This is a scene from Dauphin Island Sunday morning as Tropical Storm Cristobal moves in on the Gulf Coast.

DAUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. (WALA) -- The Dauphin Island Police Department is closing access to the west end of the island because of deteriorating conditions caused by Tropical Storm Cristobal, according to Mayor Jeff Collier.

Collier reports the roadway is quickly flooding, and he urges Dauphin Island residents and visitors to be careful.
