MOBILE, Ala. -- A judge in Mobile on Thursday morning set bond at $125,000 on a murder charge but did not set bond on a probation revocation for a 42-year-old Mount Vernon man.

Damon O'Neil Jenkins is charged with murder in the death of 43-year-old Latywen "Slick" Guanchez Caster.

Jenkins is due back in court on Jan. 30.

Caster's body was found Tuesday in his home on U.S. 43 in Mount Vernon.

According to Mount Vernon Police Chief Byron Reynolds, Jenkins was taken into custody on the scene after he "showed up acting like a concerned citizen."

Authorities say Jenkins and Caster were roommates.
