Sometimes, you don't need to go "high tech" to steal someone's personal information. One woman was able to do it the "low tech" way, says Mobile Police. Now, she's wanted for felony attempted identity theft.
This is 32 year old Lynn Mason. Police say she managed to get the victim's personal information, possibly by looting his mailbox. Then, according to investigators, she used that info to apply for a credit card in his name, even though they say the two had no relationship.
The guy never knew anything, until the credit card company sent a rejection letter. He called the company to tell them he had never even applied for their card. The company was able to supply just enough information to put M-P-D on Mason's trail. But so far, there's been no sign of her, even though investigators believe she's still in the Mobile area. They want to stop her from trying to steal someone's identity, again.
Here's the description of Lynn Mason: She's 32 years old; is 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds. She has an extensive record including drugs, fraud and theft.
If you have seen Lynn Mason call the FOX10 News Fugitive Files-Crime Stoppers Hotline at 251-208-7211. Remember, when you call, you don't have to leave your name.
