MOBILE, Ala. -- The players and coaches from the North ended South's winning streak at the Reese's Senior Bown, in a 34-24 victory Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
The team with seniors from the South had previously won three in a row at the venue.
It was a picture-perfect day for the 70th annual Reese’s Senior Bowl, as thousands of fans all headed to Ladd-Peebles Stadium for the big game.
A couple of local guys represented. Blount alum B.J. Autry did not play but practiced all week. Vigor alum and Auburn standout Deshaun Davis told us Friday he was ready to put on a show for his hometown, and he certainly did that Saturday. Davis had eight total tackles to tie for the most tackles of the game from either team.
Other Auburn Tigers, Jarrett Stidham and Dontavius Russell, represented as well. Stidham said after the game it was a good experience.
Of course the Crimson Tide represented too, with Ross Pierschbacher and Isaiah Buggs both going to work at Ladd-Peebles.
