RV City in Mobile is open, but there are some changes from last year.
Mobile public safety officials were concerned last year that the area could be unsafe should a fire or emergency break out.
This year, the RV's are spaced further apart, and there are emergency corridors set up so fire fighting equipment can have access in case of an emergency.
120 RV's can park there this year, compared to 197 last year.
They are 30 feet apart, and administrators say there is no parking under the interstate.
People that we talked to moving in Wednesday have noticed the changes.
One man said he comes here every year.
He said, "It's not bad. The new set up is not bad at all."
However, administrators say, under the configuration this year, private vehicles won't be able to park there for Mardi Gras parades.
