Daniel Rodriquez, the operatic tenor who was a New York City Police Department first responder during 9/11, will be the featured speaker at the 2018 Drug Education Council's annual fundraising luncheon, according to Virginia Guy, the Executive Director of the Council.

Best known to the American public as "the voice that healed a nation", Rodriguez has survived two major life dramas - that fateful September morning while on his shift for the NYPD and his earlier triumph over the full-blown alcoholism and narcotic use that nearly destroyed his life.

The luncheon is Monday, March 19, 2018, at the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel. Tickets are available by calling the Drug Education Council office at (251) 478-7855.
