FOX10 News has confirmed that a 6th grader at Saraland Elementary School has been diagnosed with DIPG.

Mary Beth Ezell found out on Halloween that she has the same rare brain tumor as Aubreigh Nicholas from Semmes, who died in August.

Nine year old Kaylee Allo, also from Saraland, died from DIPG in September of 2017. According to Mary Beth's Facebook support page, she was having problems with her balance and blurry vision before being diagnosed. She is currently in Cincinnati for a clinical trial. She will be there for at least six weeks.

Community members and businesses are working to raise money to help Mary Beth's family with medical expenses. A spaghetti dinner plate sale will be held on November 30th at Chickasaw United Methodist Church. If you order more than 10, the meals will be delivered to you. They are $7 per plate. Call 251-586-3132 to place an order.
