Have you ever gotten angry about your car hitting a pothole and say, "Somebody needs to do something about this?"

Well, three people in Prichard took matters into their own hands Friday.

Mario Yow, James Jackson, and Reginald Davis went out to fix potholes on their own.

They say they spent more than $300 buying fast drying concrete and other materials, and began filling some of the worst potholes around town.

Yow said, "It's needed. We really care for the community. We care for the city of Prichard. And if you're going to say you care for the city of Prichard, some times its better to show it than to say it all the time."

Yow says he hopes this will set an example for city leaders.
