Mobile Police are looking for clues in a double murder.

Police say the bodies of two young men were found on Felix Street in Toulminville Thursday night.

Both had been shot to death.

Detectives returned to the scene Friday morning looking for clues where the bodies were found, at the dead end of Felix Street.

Department officials said police answered a call Thursday night at about 11:17 concerning what they termed a suspicious complaint.

When they arrived, they say police found the bodies of a 20 year old male and 19 year old male in the street with gunshot wounds.

Police call it an active murder investigation.

Larry Williams lives a few houses away from where the bodies were found.

Williams said, "I didn't hear anything. I was in the back and a neighbor called me and told me that I could go, the police are out front and I came out."

I also asked another man who said he lives on the street what he heard Thursday night.

He said, "I was inside trying to watch TV. I didn't hear nobody getting shot."

Ronnie Timmons said he lives a street over.

He said, "It's pretty quiet abound here, you know. You usually don't see no drama around here like this. Like I said we even sit outside at night sometime. I didn't hear no shots or nothing."

Yolanda Bracy said she also lives a street over, but her mother lives on Felix.

Bracy said, "We've been here over twenty something years and my mother and all the people around here in the neighborhood know each other. We're just shocked that something can happen like this."

But Sandra Harris lives on Felix Street and had different thoughts.

When asked if the crime surprised her, she said, "No, not at all."

Harris said there are several reasons why there are problems on Felix.

She said, "By it being a dead end street and there's not a lot of law enforcement coming through here. And abandoned lots. there's a lot of crime here."

Williams had a suggestion for improvements.

He said, "They just need more lights. We try to keep a watch out for everybody, but, you know, you can't hear everything can't see anything."

Police say they will release the victims names once relatives are notified.

But they're asking anyone with information on the crime to call them.
