  1. Create a budget and prepare for the reopening of restaurants and venues.
  2. Establish an emergency fund and tuck away any amount of money that you can.
  3. Transfer any credit card balances you may be carrying to a card that offers 0 percent interest on balance transfers for the first 12-18 months.
  4. Pay down high-interest debt, such as ones that might be on a personal loan.
  5. File your taxes.
  6. Look at – but don’t withdraw – your investments. Consider diversifying your portfolio.
  7. Contact your insurance providers to see if you can get a discount or lower rate.
  8. Move your savings to a high-interest account that will pay off for you.
  9. Talk about money with your family so you are all on the same page.
  10. Get your credit report and brainstorm ways to improve it, if needed.

Bonus: plan out what you are going to do with your coronavirus stimulus check. Considering using it to pay off debts or loans.
