(Meredith) – Police in Florida have arrested a man after they say he shot a 41-year-old man who was paying for other peoples’ meals at a Waffle House.
According to USA Today, the suspect, Ezekiel Hicks, 25, got into an argument with the victim, Craig Brewer. After the argument, police say Hicks left the restaurant and returned with a handgun.
A physical fight started between the two and Hicks shot Brewer in the head, police said.
ABC News reported that the fight started because a female friend of Hicks’ was upset Brewer was handing out money and paying for meals and didn’t give her anything.
Hicks has been charged with first degree murder, USA Today reported.
