Meth

(Meredith) - Deputies in Arkansas are offering to test meth for the coronavirus.

The St. Francis County Sheriff's Office posted the "PSA" to its official Facebook page on Wednesday.

"WARNING: If you have recently purchased meth locally, it may be contaminated with the coronavirus," the post reads. "Please take it to the sheriff's office or police department and they will test it for free."

A deputy can also test the meth "in the privacy of your home," if you're uncomfortable with bringing drugs to a police department.

"Better safe than sorry," the sheriff's office wrote.

Though most people found the "warning" amusing, a similar post from the Merrill Post Department in Wisconsin garnered mixed reactions.

"I would rather not see police departments making 'jokes' like this online or posting false information about a pandemic that is already being treated cavalierly by the executive branch," one woman wrote in the comment section.
