Police released a photo of 30-year-old Coty Taylor, who they say is “linked” to the death of six-year-old Faye Swetlik but haven’t elaborated.

Taylor was a neighbor of little Faye’s but was not close to the family at all. Police said he was “not a family member, not a friend, simply a neighbor.”

Faye went missing last Monday while playing in her front yard after school. Police said during the search for her, they found a key piece of evidence in a trash can in Taylor’s home. They have not said what that evidence was.

On Thursday, they found Faye’s body in the neighborhood, and shortly after found Taylor’s dead body in his home. Police said the deaths are connected but haven’t said how.

The coroner’s office is expected to release the results of the autopsies this week.
