Two kids in New Jersey got quite the surprise when the mean ole Grinch crashed their holiday photo shoot.

The brother and sister duo were posing outdoors in their matching pajamas when the Grinch emerged from behind a Christmas tree. Within seconds of spotting the grumpy green-haired creature, the kids took off running.

Their dad, Joseph DeVito, said he came up with the prank because the "kids wanted to meet the Grinch."

DeVito posted the hilarious video to Facebook on Monday, and it quickly went viral. His wife, Ashley Bohl, also shared the video on her Instagram page.

"My kids couldn’t wait to meet the Grinch this weekend! I’d say it went well," she wrote.

The couple from Washington Township reportedly enlisted the help of their friend, Jay Brone, to dress up as the Grinch for the prank.

So far, the video has been viewed more than 11 million times and counting on Facebook.
