Waterville USA announced Tuesday, that the park’s roller coaster, Cannonball Run, will be taken down for good at the end of the 2018 season in September. The attraction has been a part of the amusement park since 1995.

Waterville USA is a 20-acre water and amusement park located ¼ of a mile from the beach. Waterville opened the original watermark in 1986, and since that time, the park has invested over $15 million in new and improved attractions. Waterville’s waterpark offers a premiere collection of water rides and attractions, including fast action thrill rides like the six lane Dune Racer water slides, along with 13 other water slides, a Flowrider , and a wave pool. The Lazy River offers a more relaxing experience, while Shrimp Boat Village, which is an ultimate water playground, offers three stories of sprays, geysers, net crawls, slides, water cannons and dumping buckets perfect for younger park goers. Waterville’s amusement park attractions include the Nascart Go-Carts, Cannonball Run roller coaster, 36 holes of miniature golf, Trampoline Thing, Fun Depot kiddie rides, a brand new arcade room, and two new Escape Rooms.
Those wanting to get in a thrill ride before the Roller Coaster is replaced can enjoy it until September 16.
