MOBILE, Ala. -- The community continued to come together on Saturday for the family of fallen Mobile police officer Sean Tuder.

A benefit was held in West Mobile at a former car lot.

There was a car show and a raffle, and plates of food were served to raise money for the family.

The goal of Saturday’s event was to show that the community stands with MPD and Tuder’s family.

"We just did this 11 months ago, 12 months ago for (Officer Justin) Billa,” said Nicole Croomes, who helped put on the event. “So here we are doing this for Tuder now, and it's just amazing the support Mobile shows and how we come together for a fallen officer and his family. And I know they really need it right now."

"We’re here for her and her family with all her needs. We're open arms," said Justin Farmer, who attended the benefit.

"I believe in helping others, I think it's a tragedy what happened to his family,” said Karen Lepik, who came out on Saturday. “I wanted to be supportive."

All proceeds from the event are going right to Officer Tuder's family.
