MOBILE, Ala. -- A woman whose young baby was found on the roadside has been ordered to have no contact with the child.
Myeisha Walker, 23, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment Friday after her 8-month-old child was found on the roadside.
The man who found the baby took the child to a nearby Waffle House restaurant, where 911 was called.
Around the same time 911 was called about the baby being found, another call came in reporting the woman was found naked in the roadway on Dauphin Island Parkway, authorities said. They said she appeared to be under the influence.
In her court appearance Tuesday, a court-appointed lawyer representing Walker entered a not guilty plea on her behalf.
A judge ordered that she have no contact with the baby. This comes a day after bond was set at $1,000 in the matter.
The next court appearance for trial (misdemeanor charge) is set for Thursday, March 7
