BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. -- Construction to the state's first divergent diamond interchange is coming along.

If you drive in the Malbis area, you'll notice the orange cones.

Right now, crews are working on relocating utility lines.

The goal of the interchange is to help alleviate congestion at Highway 181 and Interstate 10.

The project will also include an additional northbound lane on 181 between Highway 90 and the interstate.

The more than $7 million project is expected to be done by the end of the year.
