Officials have confirmed that a 10-year-old child was hit by a vehicle Friday, January 11. They say the child may have suffered a broken ankle.

Today at approximately 3 p.m. offices responded to the area of Belfast St. at Antwerp St. in reference to shots fired.

Upon arrival officials say officers spotted a vehicle that was involved fleeing the area. They say officers stopped the vehicle and several subjects fled on foot.

One subject was apprehended. During this incident a male juvenile was struck by the vehicle. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
