Students at Perdido School got a head start and honoring local veterans during an annual celebration Friday morning.

Hundreds of people came together for the school’s Veterans Day program.

The which attracts nearly 100 veterans each year.

The patriotic celebration includes a guest speaker, a presentation from the Baldwin County High School JROTC flag and rifle drill teams, and performances from the Perdido Middle School band.

Each veteran walked away with a heartfelt and handmade trinket from students.

School officials say the entire event is a great way to connect the students with the brave men and women in our area.
