"It's a sport you have to pretty much to everyday to keep consistent,” said Melanie Fuller, the head coach at Planet Gymnastics.
The athletes at Planet Gymnastics are consistent.
"Every day for like three to four hours and sometimes on Saturdays too,” said Brie Clark, a 15-year-old gymnast at Planet Gymnastics.
Their hard work has paid off as 27 of their gymnasts recently excelled at State and qualified for Regionals.
"The coaches are really proud of the girls and we were super excited,” said Coach Fuller.
The keys to success are simple.
"To have strength, to try your hardest, and to believe in yourself,” said Reagan Fuller, an 8-year-old gymnast at Planet Gymnastics.
"You just have to work hard and continue to tell yourself to keep going and have fun and if you love what you do it's amazing,” said Brie.
Right before a big meet it's all about focus.
"I have to calm myself down first, so my nerves don't get the best of me. Then I just tell myself you can do this. You've done this a million times at practice and it's all going to work out,” said Brie.
"If you fall at a meet or mess up and fall you just keep going and pretend like it never happened and try your hardest the rest of the routine,” said Reagan.
A mindset that translates beyond the gym.
"I love that it teaches you to keep going and in life if something knocks you down you have to continue to keep going,” said Brie.
