Nick Clark is a name you might want to jot down.

Chances are you'll be hearing his name a lot in the near future.

"When it came at the age of 8 and I started to grow and my brain started devolving and I like how the sport was going to change my life if I stayed somewhere where I wasn’t supposed to be,” said 12-year-old, Nick Clark.

The now 12-year-old uses that mature mindset to excel on both the football field and the baseball diamond.

Where he is a role model for the younger players.

"Some stay and watch the game so I have to do what I have to do for them to learn with what I am doing,” said Clark.

"He's a big motivator for the other kids. Other kids see him and it motivates them on and off the field,” said Johnny Lofton, Nick’s football coach.

"He's willing to learn every day. He isn’t one of those kids who isn’t like I know it, he's a gamer. If you get kids like that that are all coachable kids you got something,” said Dominick Pettway, Nick’s football coach.

The young champion gives credit to his family for leading him along the way.

"My family motivation is my momma helping me out and always being there for me because if it weren't for her I don’t know where I would be right now,” said Clark.
