Punta Clara Kitchen is the place to go for delicious holiday desserts and sweets! Susan and Kim stop by Studio 10 to make their sweet, rich icing for a decadent German Chocolate Cake.

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 (12oz) can evaporated milk
  • 1½ tsp vanilla
  • 1½ cups chopped pecans
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1½ sticks butter
  • 2 2/3 cups flake coconut

Beat egg yolks, milk and vanilla in a large saucepan with a whisk until well blended. Add sugar and butter, cook on medium heat 12 minutes, or until thickened and gold brown, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add coconut and pecans; mix well and cool. Spread between layers and on top of German Chocolate Cake.
