A new twist on a Mardi Gras favorite! Lucy from Greer's Markets shares the perfect dessert to celebrate the Mardi Gras season.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 king cake, cut into bite size pieces
  • 4.9 oz box instant vanilla pudding
  • 8 oz whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

STEPS:

Beat cream cheese in a large bowl with a hand mixer until fluffy.

Add sweetened condensed milk and beat until combined. Add pudding mix and beat until combined. Add milk and beat until combined.

Add whipped topping to the pudding mixture. Use a spatula to fold in the whipped topping until well combined.

Use a trifle dish or a glass bowl for best presentation. Begin with a layer of king cake in the bottom of the dish. Top with some of the cream mixture. Continue with cake and cream, alternating layers.

Sprinkle purple, green and yellow sprinkles or sugar on top to make it extra Mardi Gras festive!

Keep refrigerated until ready to eat.
