If you love chocolate, this is the place to be! Family Promise of Baldwin County is hosting its 11th Holiday Gala, “The Chocolate Affair”, coming up on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at 6:00PM. The event is held at the Daphne Civic Center and features live music by Roman Street, Chef Specialty Choices prepared by local area restaurants, heavy hor d’oeuvres, desserts and a live/silent auction. “The Chocolate Affair” is an annual fundraiser event and all proceeds go directly to support the mission of Family Promise. As they do not receive government funding, they rely primarily on contributions from local supporters and this fundraising event to fulfill their mission.

Family Promise of Baldwin County, Inc provides temporary shelter and case management services to homeless families with children. Its Impact day center, located in Summerdale and named after Impact 100 of Baldwin County, is the base of operations where we assist families in becoming self-sufficient. There, the families have a place of respite, offering a place to store belongings, two kitchens, bathrooms, laundry facilities, resource room, nursery, and play room for the children. Family Promise of Baldwin County, Inc is an interfaith hospitality network, utilizing volunteers from host and support congregations’ church facilities to provide dinner, hospitality and a private sleeping area for the families. They have around 300 volunteers and only two paid staff members. They are a United Way Partner Agency and a non-profit, 501(C)3 organization.
