Muggy and humid air remains in place so plan on using the air conditioners today. We'll top out in the upper 70s later this afternoon with 50% coverage for showers and storms. These will form randomly so keep the umbrella close by. You'll need the rain gear if you're celebrating Mardi Gras tonight in case a stray shower finds you. Temperatures will drop only to the mid 60s tonight. The rain coverage drops to 20% for tomorrow so plan on a drier day, but the coverage will increase again on Saturday. The front will start to push through on Saturday and this will increase our rain and storm coverage to 40%. The shower chances will exit on Sunday morning and cooler and less humid air will filter in. A major severe weather threat will exist with this system, but that will be mostly well to the north of us. Our risk is low for severe storms but we'll keep watching. Temps will go from the upper 70s to the upper 60s by Sunday and our morning temps will drop to the mid 40s by daybreak Monday.
