We've got another typical summer day coming our way with hot temperatures, muggy air, and storms to dodge.

The radar is quiet as of 5 a.m., but with the heating of the day showers will start popping up in random spots. Expect the high today to be around 90 degrees. Rain and storm coverage will be at 50%. As for the days ahead, a surface High will strengthen in the Gulf and move towards us. This will knock our coverage of storms down and we'll see the heat levels moving up as a result of that.

Highs will reach the mid 90s this weekend with heat index values between 105 and 110. Stay hydrated and keep cool out there! In the Tropics, a Low over South Carolina is moving into the Atlantic and there is a 50% chance that could become Tropical Storm Fay within 5 days. It will track northeast.
