We've got a wet start to the day here on the Gulf Coast and the rain coverage is only going to get higher as the day goes on. Showers will track from offshore to onshore and a lot of it will be light to moderate during the day. By tonight, a Surface Low approaches and we'll see the rain getting heavier with storms becoming possible. As for severe weather chances, they aren't zero but they are fairly low. We'll keep an eye on the storms tonight, but this should mostly be a straight rain event. Most spots will pick up around 1 to 2" of rain. The system exits tomorrow but rain coverage will still be at 40% and then dropping to 10% or less for Saturday and Sunday. Highs today reach the mid 60s and lows tonight stay in the upper 50s. We'll turn cooler this weekend.
