Mobile County holds fall Operation Clean Sweep event this weekend

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile County is holding the next Operation Clean Sweep event this weekend as part of its fall cleanup program for residents needing to dispose of trash.

The event runs Saturday from 7 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at 1113 Hubert Pierce Road in Mobile.

Two more events are scheduled at locations throughout the county, with each running the same hours, 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Proof of Mobile County residency is required, and only one load per household is accepted.

Businesses, dump trailers and hazardous waste are not allowed.

Drivers participating in Operation Clean Sweep should secure loads with a tarp, bungee cords or netting before traveling, for safety and to keep debris from becoming litter.
