Fairhope Witches Ride benefits Baldwin Humane Society

FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WALA) - Costumed riders took over downtown Fairhope for the Fairhope Witches Ride, an event that benefits the Baldwin Humane Society.

Participants came from across Baldwin County on broom-bikes.

After the ride, participants went to the Halstead Amphitheater for the Witches Ball. FOX10 Meteorologist Kelly Foster announced the winners of the “Best Dressed Witches Award.”

All proceeds from the event went to the Baldwin Humane Society.

Shelby Dye, executive director of the Baldwin Humane Society, described the event’s importance.

“It is one of our largest fundraisers. We make thousands and thousands of dollars from this,” Dye said. “It also brings a lot of awareness to the Baldwin Humane Society because we always need people to adopt, donate, volunteer.”
